Lyon Real Estate - Data Breach Class Action Settlement
What Is the Lyon Real Estate Settlement About?
This class action lawsuit alleges that Lyon Real Estate experienced a data security incident between April 18, 2023 and May 4, 2023, during which an unauthorized actor accessed certain files stored on Lyon’s computer systems.
According to Lyon’s investigation, the accessed files may have contained personally identifying information (PII), including names, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, medical information, health insurance information, and/or credit card information. Individuals who were notified that their information may have been affected are included in the Settlement Class.
Lyon denies wrongdoing, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to a proposed settlement to resolve the claims without further litigation.
