What Is the Grubhub Delivery-Fee Settlement About?
The lawsuit alleges that Grubhub made false or misleading representations concerning delivery fees, service fees and menu prices. Grubhub denies those allegations. In addition to site credits, the settlement calls for clearer separation or disclosure of fees and taxes and limits how “free delivery” is advertised when other fees apply.
How Much Is the Grubhub Settlement Payout?
Each approved claimant is scheduled to receive a $10 Grubhub site credit for use on the Grubhub app or website, with no sales tax charged on the credit’s value. Total site credits cannot exceed $5 million. If valid claims would exceed that cap, each credit will be reduced proportionally.
Am I Eligible to File a Claim?
You may qualify if you ordered and paid for food through Grubhub or Seamless between January 24, 2019, and January 12, 2026, and the order was delivered to an address in California. The class definition does not require current California residency if the qualifying delivery address was in California.
Is the Grubhub Settlement Legit?

When’s the Claim Deadline?
The court extended the online claim deadline to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on August 7, 2026. The new final approval hearing is scheduled for August 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
Who Qualifies for the Grubhub Settlement?
The class includes paid food-delivery orders placed through either Grubhub or Seamless during the class period for delivery to a California address. Pickup orders and deliveries outside California do not meet the posted definition.
How Do I File a Grubhub Settlement Claim Form?
Go to the official site and enter the 10-character Unique ID from the settlement notice. Complete the online form by August 7. If you lost or never received the notice, call the administrator at 877-522-2081 to request help obtaining the Unique ID. The official instructions describe online filing as the available claim route.
